Italian 9 wing seaplane
Copy of the GLI AEROPLANI CAPRONI (12 pages)
With serial number
Caproni Ca.60 is a giant flying boat with nine wings designed by Italian aviation pioneer Gianni Caproni,
designed to carry 100 passengers across the Atlantic Ocean.
In 1921, during a test flight over Lake Maggiore, she lost the balance and plunged into the lake.
The surviving wreckage is on display at the Gianni Caproni Aviation Museum and the Volandia Aviation Museum in Italy.
The most difficult part of building a biplane is constructing the wings on correctly. Moreover, Caproni Ca.60 has nine wings.
